In this verse by verse exposition of the Gospel of Luke, Dr. Ray Summers, Chairman of the Department of Religion at Baylor University, has kept two ideas prominently in view. The first is Luke's emphasis on the universality of Jesus the Messiah. The second is Luke's emphasis on Jesus' teaching that some time would elapse before his return in glory.
